Leveraging Law Firm Resources in Your Pro Bono Practice with Sarah Lahlou-Amine
Sarah Lahlou-Amine is Director of the Pro Bono Institute Law Firm Pro Bono Project® in Washington, D.C. An experienced litigator and Florida Bar board-certified appellate expert, Sarah has practiced in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including the Florida Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Over the course of her career in private practice, Sarah served as an equity shareholder, appellate practice group leader, and assistant general counsel to her law firm. While maintaining her full-time law practice, Sarah consistently devoted significant time to providing pro bono legal services and supporting the work of legal aid organizations, including her service as an officer of the Bay Area Legal Services Board of Directors. Sarah has led and served on numerous pro bono committees, including her decade-long appointment to serve on the Florida Bar Pro Bono Legal Services Committee where she co-chaired efforts to engage with pro bono programs in all of Florida’s judicial circuits. Sarah is passionate about the power of law firms to scale access to justice efforts through their unique talents and capabilities and enjoys working with firms and stakeholders to design strategies that maximize impact.
